Slaughterhouse recently paid a visit to Mtv’s Sucker Free Countdown during their press tour in NY, after inking their deal with Eminem’s Shady Records. DJ Envy asked the rap supergroup who were their favorite hip-hop crews growing up. Joell Ortiz mentioned the 90’s was his golden era which includes crews like Smiff N’ Wessun and The Lox. Royce Da 5’9″ answered, “Just anybody who built dynasties,” which include the Wu-Tang Clan and Roc La Familia. Crooked I agrees with Royce with the Wu-Tang Clan but also had to pay homage to his native west coast emcees and named off N.W.A. and The Dogg Pound as his favorites. Why didn’t Joe Budden get to name his? lol
