It’s a breath of fresh air for hip-hop this week with the debut of Common’s “Ghetto Dreams” featuring Nas. The head-bobbin’ track produced by No I.D. In the interview the video director shows Common and Nas an old photo of the two back in 1995 on the set of Fat Joe’s music video shoot. The two rappers laughed at the the irony they both were still standing together with drinks in their hands. Nas said, “We just some cool as niggas for one and life is good. We still both here and still on top of our game.” At that point they decided the 1995 photo would be the cover for “Ghetto Dreams.”
Regarding the track – Common hopes people walk away and say, You gotta hear that ‘Ghetto Dreams’…this the hip-hop we haven’t heard in years. I want them to feel the heat of that song.”
