It’s kind of bizarre that video awards still exist, since it seems Mtv doesn’t play any videos – we have to watch them all on YouTube-landia, just to get a glimpse. But yes, it’s that time of the year again – Mtv VMA time! The second most important music awards show next to the Grammys. But first in line for most entertaining. Looks like Katy Perry leads the pack with nine nominations. L.A.’s Odd Future might just get it for Video Of The Year – I mean what other video left mind blown like theirs did? Well, Kanye’s “Power” did, but for some reason it didn’t make the nom for the category; although it did make it in Best Special Fx and Best Art Direction. West coast rapstress, Kreayshawn, made it in the list for Best New Artist. She tweeted her disbelief:
