Dedrick Rolison, 39, better known as Westide Connection’s Inglewood member, Mack 10, was hospitalized for diverticulitis, which caused him severe stomach pains.
According to PubMed Health, it is a condition that is very common. It is found in more than half of Americans over age 60. Only a small percentage of these people will develop the complication of diverticulitis. After a successful recovery Mack 10 will have to eat high-fiber foods and using bulk additives such as psyllium to help reduce the risk of diverticulitis and its symptoms.
This hospitalization comes before the release of his collaborative studio album with rapper Glasses Malone. Mack 10 has been reorganizing his label Hoo-Bangin’ Records. He reveals, “I never cared about what the East Coast was doing or what the South was doing or what the West Coast was doing. I was just worried about what Hoo Bangin’ was doing. I got a formula that works and it’s been working for over a decade now. Now I’m off to the races again.”
His tenth solo album release date has no been set but we sure hope Mack 10 has a speedy recovery and gets back to his music. Hoo-Bangin’!
