If you missed ABC’s Nightline on March 16th you missed the all-too often rare footage of bold reporting on the nuclear crisis in Japan. Nightline Anchor , Cynthia McFaddin, had Dr. Michio Kaku on as guest to analyze and to give his predictions of Japan’s crisis.
He said that at this point, the best thing to do is to bury the reactors with sand, lead, and boric acid and cover them with a concrete sarcophagus the way they did at Chernobyl. The current efforts of pouring water onto the reactors is like, “That helicopter dropping borated water is like a squirt gun trying to put out a forest fire. we are extremely close to the point of no return. Just a few more slight glitches and we’re gonna be in a uncontrolled breach of containment. It’s a full scale Chernobyl.
McFaddin asked, “Is meltdown inevitable?”
Dr. Kaku stated, “At a certain point workers going in, are on a suicide mission. They will have to abandon ship….we all have three simultaneous breach of containments.”
On his website he blogged the solution for the Fukushima Nuclear Plant:
If I had the ear of the Prime Minister, I would recommend the “Chernobyl Option.”
Put the Japanese Air Force on alert
Assemble a huge fleet of helicopters. Put shielding underneath them.
Accumulate enough sand, boric acid, and concrete to smother these reactors, to entomb them forever.
This is what the Soviets did in 1986, calling out the Red Air Force and sandbagging the reactor with over 5,000 tons of concrete and sand.
And according to Australian writer, physician, and anti-nuclear advocate, Helen Aldicott, there is a conspiratorial coverup of the true devastation that is occurring in Japan between the following agencies: UN, IAEA and the World Health Organization.
She tells RT America that there is absolutely no chance for Japan and moreover the people with acute radiation exposure will die in two weeks from nuclear tan and liquidation.
Aldicott explains, “If you stand next to one fuel rod for several seconds you will get a lethal dose of radiation. Within days those men turn brown. It’s called nuclear tan. Their arms and leg swell so much they split. Their brains swell. Then they develop ataxia like a drunken man…seizures and they die with in days. They were called liquidators. They got liquidated.”
In Aldicott’s book, Nuclear Power Is Not The Answer, she tell us, “Nuclear power is not the answer to global warming; it is not clean, it is not green; it is not safe; and it is not renewable. It is instead “a destroyer of worlds.” It is time the global community repudiated it – however economically painful in the short term that taking such a step would be. There is no other choice for the sake of future generations.”
