GN$F! EDITORIALS: Why buying Made In China is wack

WTFLocka have we done to our country? Our economy is trillions in debt, the rich get richest, and the poor die poor. As I get get older, or should I say more mature and wiser to the shenanigans that our fine American country does to other say, weaker, poorer countries – I learn the stupidity of outsourcing. The very idea of outsourcing is rooted in low-ball bidding wars. Fair wages? Greedy corporations say, fukc fair wages – we need to manufacture cheap and of course, make lots more money.

Every time we outsource, people in America lose their jobs. Every time we buy Made In China, an American factory is closed down, a single mother has to depend on the trapping system of welfare and WIC. Billion dollar companies have the power to uproot  and crush on any small business.

Wal-Mart is a good example of the affects of outsourcing cheap labor. Chinese laborers are forced to live in dorms and earn less than $3 a day. Laborers who choose not live in the laborer dorms, still get rental dorm fees garnished from their paycheck. Thus, forcing them to stick to living in the dorms. Laborers often work from 7am-10pm, six days a week.

We are all guilty of this, and I am too, you want the best for the bottom dollar. Of course, it’s your right. McDonald’s and Taco Bell have the cheapest food you can buy. Fast food joints attract you with the dollar menu. But, the food is not nutritious nor does it digest entirely. In fact, it stays in your digestive system causing toxins. This is why so many Americans are obese and sick. Which takes me to my point – cheap isn’t wholesome for you – nor is it wholesome for our economy. Our economy will never thrive off of outsourcing because the money is not being pumped into the blue-collar and middle-class pockets. Instead the money is pumped into the piggy banks of the fat cats.

So think twice when you buy products Made In China because you are perpetuating the supply and demand for it and you’re also demeaning Americans who can do the same job on American soil under fair wages. There truly is a high cost to low cost products because it puts blue-collar workers and mom-and-pop-shops out of business. Consumers forget they have the power to direct supply and demand. So use it.
