Ten yr-old Thylane Lena Rose Blondeau appears with adult look in French Vogue

WTFlocka?! When I first saw this news story, I had to shudder to think. Did French Vogue really think it was going to be a fabulous to have Thylane Lena Rose Blondeau, 10-year-old little girl model as the femme fatale seductress laying bedside on a tiger fur, full glamour shots make-up and all? ‘Pardonez moi, oui-oui,’ said the French.

Of course oblivious fans of the young model are accusing Americans of having an “uptight culture.” I doubt that, mon amies. In America, we are home to what the film, “Little Miss Sunshine,” pokes fun at, the circus of little girl pageants, where little girls are tranformed into twenty-something sultry pageant hotties.

Let’s be real, all of this is promoting pedophilia. Photographing young girls as sexy sirens is promoting little girls to be prostitutes. Yes, I said it, prostitutes. Remember when Calvin Klein had then, 14 year-old Brooke Shields girating on the floor and ooing to the camera while her hair was being blown like the Venus in the clamshell and said to America, “You wanna know what comes between me and my Clavin’s? Nothing.”

Fast forward to 2011, so, now you tell me we have progressed to having a 10-year-old become the new poster child of the saying, “Sex sells”? I have worked New York’s Fashion Week for several years and actually was disappointed, every year the models got younger and younger – I’m talking teenagers strutting down the catwalks donning fashion that’s geared for grown women. Why do designers and the powers-that-be find it appropriate to sell adult-age women’s clothing through the use of teenage models? It’s no wonder why teens are dressing more and more risqué.

“The research clearly shows that the fashion industry affects girls and women’s images of themselves and their self-esteem if they do not meet the industry ‘image’ that is currently in vogue,” said Paul Miller, associate professor of psychology at Arizona State University in Phoenix. “Even the very young are quite conscious of media images of what is ‘pretty’ and desirable.”

What’s crazy is Thylane’s parents have no regrets. Who are they? Patrick Blondeau, a former soccer player, and Véronika Loubry, former French TV celebrity journalist and now designs a mother-daughter clothing line.

This is really, really sad. Don’t be surprised if Larry, your next-door pedophile, is jerking off to little Thylane’s Vogue spread or browsing on her big-time fan’s blogger site dedicated to the model where it states, “Photo blog for Thylane Blondeau, the talented young model from France. Because I’m jealous of a 10 year old.” #WTFLOCKA
